Netflix users worldwide are experiencing problems streaming video content. In recent days, many reports have been received on platforms such as X and Reddit about an apparent bug that causes the video player to freeze and/or it is impossible to play films or series at all. In the vast majority of cases, the problem occurs when streaming via the browser: most subscribers still seem to be able to do it just fine via television and mobile.
Technical status
Netflix’s website has a special page where you can check whether the service is officially available or whether there are serious technical problems. At the time of writing, the light is green in the Netherlands, but here is a screenshot What’s on Netflix shows that things were different on Monday (at least in the US, ed.).

Audio-issues
The forum and Twitter posts follow after fans complained this weekend about audio issues with the eighth episode of Outer Banks season 4. Netflix said yesterday (Monday) that it was working to resolve this issue, but the broader problem that users online is not limited to this popular series:
Users indicate that their player freezes or does not want to start at all. Although What’s on Netflix emphasizes that the problem mainly occurs in browsers, we see in the tweets that a user with a smart television also fails to play titles. On Reddit There are several threads that (indeed) are mainly about browser problems.
