The Congress of Jalisco surprised by meeting around midnight this Monday and endorsed the distribution of legislative commissions for the new legislature.
The Citizen Movement and Morena benches emerged winners, since the first bench was awarded the Treasury commissions (Gabriela Cárdenas as president); Health; Mobility and Transportation; Security and Justice and Administration and Planning.
Morena, for her part, stayed with Legislative Studies; Substantive and Gender Equality; Citizen Participation; Constitutional Points and Surveillance. The coordinator of the PAN in Congress, Claudia Murguía, claimed that his parliamentary faction was ignored in the distribution of the commissions even said he had dengue and therefore was not in a position to represent the group in the Political Coordination Board to reach agreements.
“I would ask for honesty and to say what is being seen here: Citizen Movement and Morena They have an agreement and they hold each other so responsible.. Consideration was not taken and there is no urgent need. A parliamentary group, not only the group, but the citizens we represent.”
In contrast, José Luis Tostado, coordinator of MC, defended the agreements between the benches and assured that all of them were in favor. “He presented a medical certificate which enabled us to continue with the formal proposal. The law provides for the appointment of a substitute on the Political Coordination Board. “We are going to build with everyone.”
For their part, the other benches were made up of the following commissions:
- PRI: Human Rights and Native Peoples; Metropolitan Management.
- PAN: Social Assistance; Government and Municipal Strengthening; Responsibilities.
- Future: Planning, Territorial Planning and Water Management.
- Let’s do: Competitiveness; Education, Culture and Sports.
- PT: Regional Productive Development.
- Green Party: Environment.
