Tenet star John David Washington will soon star opposite Samuel L. Jackson The Piano Lesson (2024). The brand new Netflix film is coming to the streaming service next week and today a series of new images can be seen.

A battle is brewing in the Charles Household. At the center is a precious farm piano that tears two siblings apart. On the one hand, a brother (John David Washington) plans to build the family fortune by selling the piano.
On the other hand, a sister (Danielle Deadwyler) goes to great lengths to preserve the only remnant of the family legacy. Their uncle (Samuel L. Jackson) tries to mediate, but even he can’t stop the ghosts of the past.
Film adaptation of play
We know protagonist Samuel L. Jackson from Pulp Fiction (1994) in The Hitman’s Bodyguard (2017)with Danielle Deadwyler who we previously saw in Paradise Lost (2020). John David Washington previously starred in films such as Tenet (2020) in The Creator (2023). His father, none other than Denzel Washington, works as a producer. Brother Malcolm Washington directs.
The Netflix film is based on the 1987 play of the same name by August Wilson, which won a Pullitzer. This story has previously been made into a film The Piano Lesson (1995).
