In the traditional press conference of the Government of Mexico, the head of the Infonavit He accused that under this credit model, even though the beneficiaries complied with their payments, the balance of their debt and their monthly payments increased each year, making it an unpayable debt.
“Tell them that at Infonavit there is a portfolio of 6.2 million mortgage loans. 64% of that grand total of 6.2, They were designed under a model in which even though the beneficiary complied with his payments, the balance of his debt and his monthly payments increased each year, making it an unpayable debt. This injustice affects 4 million families (…) This type of credit was sometimes called the minimum wage and was given from 2003 back or until 2013,” he explained.
“President Claudia Sheinbaum instructed us to put an end to this injustice, so as of today the balance and monthly payments of 2 million of these credits are frozen, there are millions that enter the Times scheme Minimum wage are frozen as of today, these were granted from 2013 back or before 2013,” he explained.
