Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Sharing data between devices can sometimes feel difficult and slow. However, a new feature on various devices makes sharing files easier.
The Quick Share feature is a wireless data transfer feature available for Android, Windows, and ChromeOS devices. This feature comes after Google and Samsung combine Nearby Share with Quick Share in 2024.
Using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, Quick Share allows users to send and receive files between devices in close proximity. This feature is also an Android alternative to Apple’s AirDrop.
What is Quick Share and How Does It Work?
Quoting Android Police, Monday (11/11/2024), Quick Share allows sharing files between Android, ChromeOS and Windows devices. This feature is the result of a merger of Nearby Share and Quick Share from Samsung.
Samsung users also get several exclusive benefits, such as being able to send files up to 10GB per day and share files to five Samsung devices at once, more than Nearby Share which can only connect to one device at a time.
Quick Share uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to send files over short distances between devices. This feature allows sharing between multiple platforms, so you don’t have to be limited to just one brand or operating system.
As long as Quick Share and Bluetooth are activated, you can send files between different devices.
