After the M5 World Championship, Moonton announced that the highest caste Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports championship in the world, the M6 World Championship, would be held in Malaysia.
This means, for the second time, Malaysia will host the MLBB M Series esports event.
“Back to where it all started,” wrote the Instagram account @mlbb_esports, quoted Tuesday (19/12/2023). “The M Series will return to the country where we hosted it for the first time. It’s time for #M6LAYSIA!”
For your information, Malaysia hosted the first MLBB M World Championship, namely M1, in 2019.
At that time, two teams from Indonesia, RRQ Hoshi and Evos Legends, met in the Grand Final with Evos making history as the first champion of this highest MLBB esports tournament.
In M2 and M3, Singapore was given the task of hosting the two seasons, then in early 2023, Indonesia will host M4 for the first time in Jakarta.
However, in the last M5 event, Malaysia was the venue for the Wild Card round, which was held at Jio Space, Selangor, while the Main Stage was still held in the Philippines.
