The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaumreported that this Thursday, November 7, he will have a call with the president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, to congratulate him for winning the presidential election of that country carried out last Tuesday.
In “La Mañanera del Pueblo” in the National Palace, Sheinbaum said that “Today at 9:30 in the morning we have a call with President-elect Donald Trump.”
“It is a cordial congratulatory call and there will be time to talk about all the issues on the bilateral agenda, which are many.”
The President recalled that yesterday she congratulated the Republican Donald Trumpafter the Democratic candidate and vice president, Democrat Kamala Harris, recognized her rival’s victory in the electoral process.
“Yesterday I congratulated, once the recognition of the candidate, Vice President Kamala Harris, of the recognition of Trump as the president-elect, as the winner of the election of USAin such a way that it was no longer necessary to wait for the procedures of its Electoral College,” Sheinbaum said.
He also announced that he sent a formal letter to Trump, which he hopes has at least already reached the hands of his team.
“So at that moment we congratulated him and There will be a good relationship. I sent a formal letter that yesterday reached you, I hope, at least to your team, and we also proposed to congratulate you personally. Then they informed us that today at 9:30 in the morning… that we can prepare with the interpreter to be able to make this call.”
Donald Trump was declared the winner of the elections in the United States and the Republican will return to the White House after a close electoral campaign in which he exceeded the 270 electoral votes necessary to become the 47th president of the United States.
