SEP: These are the new high schools that will open throughout Mexico

Mexico is preparing for the massive opening of high schools throughout the national territory, but they will not be new buildings as such, but rather secondary schools that would open a shift in the afternoon to provide coverage for upper secondary education students.; as reported by the head of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP).

The Secretary of Public Education, Mario Delgado Carrillo, announced that Secondary schools that do not have an evening shift will become high schools to expand the coverage of this educational level.

“Our President has decided that no young person who finishes secondary school will be left without a space in high school, we lack places, so Some secondary schools that do not have an afternoon shift are going to be converted so that in the afternoon they can be preparatory schools. and all our young people also stay to study high school and then continue to higher education, because the classrooms are where dreams are built,” he said.

When participating in an event with the first President of the country in San Luis Potosí, the federal official assured that one of the pillars of this six-year term will be education, so all boys, girls and adolescents will have financial scholarships to continue in the classrooms.

“We have a President who has decided that a fundamental part of her government project is precisely education, education to continue with the second floor of the Fourth Transformation and one of her first programs is that each and every child, adolescent in public secondary schools of our country receive a scholarship so that they can continue studying and finish high school,” he said.

He specified that in San Luis Potosí 128,885 students will receive the “Rita Cetina” scholarship, and added that registration to obtain this financial support can be done through the website of the Ministry of Public Education.

The requirements to obtain this 900 peso scholarship are: identification, proof of address and CURP.
