After the recent victory of Donald Trump in the United States presidential elections, Marcelo Ebrard, current head of the Ministry of Economy in the government of Claudia Sheinbaum, sent a congratulatory message to the president-elect.
Ebrard shared an old photograph on his X account (formerly known as Twitter), where he appears shaking hands with Trump.

In his publication, the Mexican official accompanied the image with the following message: “Congratulations President Trump, success in your administration is the wish of Mexico!!”thus expressing Mexico’s good wishes for the future US government.
This action reflects the diplomatic tone that Ebrard has maintained throughout his career, underscoring the importance of bilateral relations between Mexico and the United Statesregardless of the change in the administration of that country.
