“Love with Yamada Lv999” is confirmed to be a live-action movie! Starring Ryuto Sakuma and Mitsuki Yamashita

The live-action film adapted from the manga “Love with Yamada Level 999” is confirmed to be released in Japan on March 28, 2025, starring Ryuto Sakuma and Mitsuki Yamashita.

The story describes a female college student Akane Kinoshita’s ex-boyfriend who dumped Akane because she wanted to date a girl she met on an online game. Akane was angry and beat up mobs as soon as she logged into the game. Game guild member “Yamada” came to ask Akane to dump her. The hunting ground was given away, and an angry Akane complained to him about a lot of things about her recent breakup, but the other party only replied lightly, “I’m not interested.”

One day, Akane decided to dress up and go to an offline event in the game to look good to her ex-boyfriend, and unexpectedly met Yamada himself. Although the relationship was awkward and uncomfortable with each other at the beginning, the relationship between the two gradually changed through games.

The cumulative sales of the original manga “Love with Yamada Lv999” exceeded 5.5 million copies. The TV animation adaptation will be broadcast in April 2023 and will be produced by MADHOUSE.
