Meanwhile, recently former United States President Donald Trump recently revealed that he received a call from Apple CEO Tim Cook.
In the call, Trump claimed that Apple boss Tim Cook told him about Apple being fined in the European Union.
As quoted by Tech Times, Tuesday (22/10/2024), according to the telephone call, Apple was fined USD 17 billion or the equivalent of IDR 263.7 trillion in Europe due to various investigations against them.
Still based on information, Apple is now reportedly facing this fine. The company is said to be paying a large amount of fines as a form of compliance with the Digital Markets Act (DMA) regulations.
This information from Donald Trump was revealed from Patrick Bet-David’s PBD podcast on YouTube which featured the Republican presidential candidate.
In the podcast, Trump talks about political issues and other current events. When asked about the economy, he revealed that he recently received news from Apple CEO Tim Cook that the company faced a fine of USD 15 billion in the European Union.
