When one of the two candidates obtains the 270 Electoral College votes necessary to declare themselves the winner, the building “will light up in the color (of their party) for the rest of the evening,” his message stated.
It is not certain that the winner of the elections will be known this Tuesday, since the results of the key states, expected to be very close, may take several hours or even days to be known.
This could generate a situation similar to that of the 2020 elections, when the winner, Democrat Joe Biden, was not known until four days later.
