Nintendo confirms Switch successor supports backward compatibility

Nintendo confirmed that the Switch successor will be backwards compatible with Switch games.

In an official post on Nintendo Switch Online.”

This is Furukawa. At today’s management policy briefing, we announced that the successor to Nintendo Switch will be able to play software for Nintendo Switch. Additionally, Nintendo Switch Online will continue to be available on successor models. Detailed information on these successor models, including compatibility with Nintendo Switch, will be announced at a later date.
