In the run-up to the long-awaited final season of Stranger Things (2016– ) we applaud every new detail, and Netflix is lending a helping hand today by releasing a real title teaser on ‘Stranger Things Day’. The video reveals what names the episodes of the last major chapter will be given, and perhaps also gives some insight into which directions we can think about…
‘Eight films’
The closing season of Stranger Things will be released on the streaming service in 2025, and Maya Hawke (Robin) previously stated that there are actually eight films in the pipeline. In season 4 we already saw that a few later episodes were moving towards feature film length, and the fifth series will therefore fully respond to that trend.
The brand new title teaser contains the names of the eight episodes – or films, if you prefer – and also underlines when the conclusion of the story will take place:
Map on the chest
The episodes are called (in chronological order) The Crawl, The Vanishing Of, The Turnbrow Trap, Sorcerer, Shock Jock, Escape from Camazotz, The Bridge in The Rightside Up. With the second title in that list it seems as if there is under the title still has some hidden letters starting to shine, but Netflix is clearly keeping that card close to its chest for a while. Who will disappear remains a mystery for a while, but you can always guess.
