El Buen Fin is an event that takes place annually during a weekend of the penultimate month of the year with the purpose of promoting economic activity in Mexican territory.
Thus, during this period, various businesses offer a large number of discounts and promotions to consumers. In 2024, the Buen Fin falls on Friday the 15th, Saturday the 16th, Sunday the 17th and Monday the 18th of November.
In this context, in order to protect the rights of consumers, providing them with transparent information regarding the prices that will be positioned on the shelves on the selected weekend, the Attorney’s Office Consumer Federal (Profeco) launched a digital tool accessible to the entire public in which the previous prices of various products in the most prominent participating stores can be compared.
How to identify scams with the Profeco tool?
Through a publication on its social networks, Profeco announced “Who is Who in the Prices for El Buen Fin”a digital tool that offers information on the prices of the most requested products in various establishments.
For this purpose, the Attorney General’s Office conducted a survey of the behavior of prices during the weeks prior to Buen Fin, shown in graphs.
On the website of “Who’s Who in the Prices for El Buen Fin” you can check the amount of 492 productswhich includes categories of: kitchen, appliances, appliances, audio and sound equipment, TV and video, as well as computing.
