During the last few months at least three groups have been noticed criminal that are gaining notoriety in the dispute over the control of illicit activities at the local level.

But who is it about? There are three “new” organizations that increase violence in Mexico: the Gente Nueva Generación cartels, Michoacan New Generation and Tabasco New Generationwho have already given signs of their presence and entered in areas of the states of Guerrero, Michoacan and Tabasco, respectively.
1. New Generation People Cartel
Federal security reports indicate that Gente Nueva Generación or Gente Nueva Guerrerense was born from the alliance between the criminal cell of “Los Rodríguez”, a split from “La Familia Michoacana” and the New Generation Cartel (CNG) to confront the leader of “Los Granados”, Salvador Granados Vargas , who controls the Costa Chica of Guerrero.

One of the lines of investigation into the events indicates that the members of the New Generation People were going to attack another town near Tecpan, also controlled by “Los Granados”, so when they ran into the federal forces they had no choice. to face. In recent days, the Navy detained eight members of the New Generation People in a town in Coyuca de Benítezwithin the framework of a ground operation that did not lead to a confrontation with the criminal group, as occurred with Army personnel.
2. Michoacán New Generation Cartel
Meanwhile, the union between the Nueva Generación Cartel and “Los Viagras” became what is now known as the Michoacán Nueva Generación Cartel, made up solely of Michoacans to confront the strongholds of “Los Templarios” in Apatzingán and the so-called Cartel de “The Grandfather”by Juan José Farías Álvarez, settled in the municipality of Tepalcatepec, in the Tierra Caliente region adjacent to Jalisco.
