At least 95 people died in floods which devastated the south-east of Spain on Tuesday evening, October 29. The Valencia region is practically cut off from the rest of the country, due to the state of infrastructure, and certain villages remain inaccessible to emergency services.
In the town of Utiel, the time has come for cleaning and desolation for the inhabitants: “ What makes me sad are the people who died, and there were many », confides a teacher. These floods are the most dramatic in Spain since August 1996.
