The National Electoral Institute (INE) started this Friday the Children and Youth Consultation 2024, a democratic exercise that will allow girls, boys and adolescents between 3 and 17 years old to express their opinions on topics that they consider relevant to their daily lives.
Among the main areas of interest identified for this edition are the creation of safe community spaces, care for the environment and animal protection, as well as prevention of addictions in minors.
To facilitate access, the INE will implement the consultation in two modalities, seeking that the target population can participate widely in this process.

- And through boxes that will be installed in school buildings, public spaces, mobile boxes, in INE offices, Citizen Service Modules and in the headquarters of the Local Public Organizations (OPL) of the 32 federal entities, in addition to some institutions and allied organizations.

In these boxes you can participate with digital ballots, with the support of computer equipment and mobile devices, or with printed ballots in those cases in which connectivity does not allow participation in digital mode.
To ensure greater inclusion The tickets have a specific design for better understanding for those who have not developed literacy; audio versions for all digital ballots, versions in the 10 indigenous languages and Braille templates, as well as traveling boxes.
For this exercise, 63,026 boxes will be installed, which represents 145.84% more than the 43,217 originally planned; This number may still be increased until November 30.
