Every end of the year, los pensioners of Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) and the Institute of Security and Social Services of State Workers (ISSSTE) await payment of their bonus, an economic benefit that allows them to face the expenses of the holiday season.
The bonus is a labor right guaranteed by law that extends not only to active workers, but also to pensioners. Both the IMSS and the ISSSTE have specific schedules for the payment of this annual bonus, with some differences between both institutions.

Who receives the bonus in advance?
IMSS
For pensioners due to unemployment at advanced age or old age, under the Social Security Law in force until June 30, 1997, Your pension payment will begin to be made from Friday, November 1.
ISSSTE
The agency’s official payment schedule establishes that The advance bonus will be delivered during the first half of November.

What to do if I don’t receive the bonus?
The authorities have assured that the payment of the bonus for pensioners is guaranteed. If there are doubts about the operation of pensions, the IMSS offers a personalized attention service through the number 80 06 23 23 23, selecting option 3 “Pensioners”.
