The live-action movie “Underground Ninja” (アンダーニンジャ) adapted from Kengo Hanazawa’s manga of the same name is expected to be released in Japan on January 24, 2025, and the official has released the first trailer.
The story describes the once-popular Japanese ninjas who disappeared without a trace after the post-war GHQ forced the disbandment of the organization. In fact, ninjas still exist secretly to this day, and their number is said to be as many as 200,000, and some “elite” ninjas are still responsible for performing secret missions during national-level confrontations. However, lower-level ninjas often cannot get jobs and live like NEETs. The same is true for the protagonist Kumo Gakure Kuro…
“Underground Ninja” has been serialized in “Young Magazine” since 2018, and the comic has been released to its 13th volume. It will be adapted into a TV animation in October 2023.
