After several joint search actionsby elements of the Ministerial Criminal Investigation Agency (AMIC) and the Mexican Army, in the Altar region, weapons, drugs, vehicles and people were seized; In addition, two men were killed, one of them a Honduran national.
The State Attorney General’s Office (FGJE) reported that in coordination with the Mexican Army they carried out various strategic searches achieving positive results in the fight against organized crime.
The joint operation in which elements of the Ministerial Criminal Investigation Agency (AMIC) and members of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) participated was carried out on October 26.
These actions culminated in the arrest of individuals considered priority targets and generators of violence in the region, in addition to the seizure of weapons, drugs, cash and vehicles related to illicit activities in the region.

One of the searches, carried out based on a court order on María Luisa Street, in the Magisterial neighborhood, resulted in the capture of Francisco Federico “N” and José Aarón “N”alleged accountant of a criminal group.
The latter was detained by military personnel in September of last year with 6 million 378 thousand 530 pesos in cash and had been placed at the disposal of the federal authority, however, a Federal Judge linked him to proceedings, but did not dictate precautionary measures of preventive detention, so he was released.
Various firearms were seized at that location, including two long weapons and one short weapon, as well as 9 magazines and 235 cartridges of different calibers. 195 thousand pesos in cash and a bag of narcotic known as “crystal” were also seized.
In another search carried out on Benito Juárez Street, in the Valle del Sol neighborhood, 26 slot machines were seized, currently under investigation to determine their link to illicit activities of a criminal group.
In a property located on González Celdain Street, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood, a Jeep Wrangler vehicle with overlapping license plates from the State of Durango was located and secured, which has a theft report in the United States of America.
In another search carried out on Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla Boulevard, in the Centro neighborhood, aimed at combating drug dealing and corruption of minors, crystal wrappers and a video storage device were seized.

On the same day, October 26, during patrol work to cover the searches, AMIC agents detected two armed men aboard a Hyundai Creta truck, who opened fire on the agents while trying to flee.
The aggression was repelled with the support of the Mexican Army, resulting in the neutralization of the two attackers.
One of the men was partially identified as Edwards Dixon “N”, of Honduran nationality.
Long weapons such as AK-47 and AR-15, a 9-millimeter Glock pistol and two vehicles reported stolen were seized at the scene.
These results, which will be reported to the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR) through the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime (Femdo), reflect the commitment of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGJE) to carry out the courts to those who have committed crimes against society, communicated the social representation.
