Something new is coming to Netflix. This Monday, the streaming platform is launching a mobile functionality to save your favorite scenes. “ Moments enriches the user experience by offering them an intuitive way to relive their favorite passages wherever they are and at any time,” says the platform in a press release.
Concretely, it is not a question of extracting a clip or a sequence, but of saving a precise point of reference from the episode of its series or its film, in order to be able to revisit this scene later by accessing it more easily. Likewise, it is also possible to share this tag on social networks.
Not all sequences and not all subscribers
To do this, Netflix users must click on the new “Moments” tab, at the bottom left of their mobile screen. The saved scene is then automatically set aside in the “My Netflix” tab; simply go there to watch the extract again.
Sequences that can then be shared on networks (Instagram and Facebook only), a link then goes to Netflix to view the scene in its original context. Please note, not all sequences will be shareable, the platform specifies to “20 Minutes”. Scenes containing spoilers, explicit or violent content will be excluded from this sharing system.
This new feature will be available from this Monday for iOS users and soon on Android. Please note that subscribers to the offer with advertising will not have access to it for the moment.
