The GCS 2024 Summer Split of “Garena Legend Showdown” came to a successful conclusion last weekend in Taichung. Flash Wolves (FW), who ranked first in the regular season, defeated their opponent Ban Mei Gaming (BMG) with an overwhelming score of 4:1. This victory also allowed the Lightning Wolves to win the Beast Gold Cup for the first time in six years, breaking the “runner-up curse” and creating their own legend.
FW performed well in the game, breaking through BMG’s defense with unstoppable momentum in the first game, and quickly won the first game in 11 minutes. Then, FW continued their winning streak and won again in the second game. Although BMG player Kai Haiya counterattacked with four consecutive kills in the third game and lost a game, FW quickly adjusted its state and took the initiative again in the fourth game, entering the draw round with a score of 3:1.
In the crucial fifth game, FW player NaiLiu used Floren to accurately break through the BMG main fortress and win the championship for the team. NaiLiu was elected FMVP for his outstanding performance in this series.
To commemorate the historic championship, Flash Wolves also announced the launch of the first part of the celebration event, a limited-edition commemorative product “Flash Wolves GCS Championship Commemorative Badge Gift Box” to share this glorious moment with fans. The product details have been released on the Flash Wolves fan page.
This year’s “Garena Legend Showdown” GCS 2024 Summer Professional League is exclusively sponsored by Doritos. Together with “Garena Legend Showdown”, we will create a better environment and encourage all players and players to continue to create legends.
As the GCS 2024 Summer Split comes to an end, FW’s goal will turn to the AIC 2024 International Championship, which will start in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on November 30. At that time, FW, BMG, HKA, ONE and ANK from the GCS division will compete with elite teams from the AOG, RPL and ASL divisions. The world’s 16 top teams will compete for the glory of the world championship. FW also hopes to continue its winning momentum and achieve greater success on the international stage.
