Tom Holland has stated several times in recent years that he is willing to put on his Spider-Man suit again and that is exactly what will happen soon. Spider-Man 4 is coming and has now been given a release date. The film is expected to hit theaters in July 2026.
Not an easy task
Sony made the official release date of the fourth this weekend Spider-Manfilm in the franchise. This fourth film is directed by Daniel Destin Cretton, known for, among others Just Mercy (2019), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) in The Glass Castle (2017). Cretton takes over from Jon Watts who had the first three Spider-Manfilms directed. It won’t be an easy task, as Watts has set the bar high with total revenue of $3.9 billion.
Anders
Holland has already been informed about the plot of the fourth film and said that he thinks the idea is ‘crazy’. “It’s a little different than anything we’ve done before, but I think fans will respond positively to it.” Earlier this week it was announced that filming will start in the summer of 2025.
Spider-Man 4 will hit US cinemas on July 24, 2026. The Dutch release date is presumed 23 July 2026.
