Actor Lucas Bravo who has been seen as Gabriel in the Netflix series for four seasons Emily in Paris (2020– )begins to doubt his role. In a recent interview, he hinted that he may not return for the fifth season.

In an interview with French newspaper Le Figaro, Bravo revealed what he really thinks about the Netflix series. He has his doubts about the plot and the on-again, off-again relationship between his character Gabriel and the main character Emily. The French actor hinted that he is considering not returning, partly because he feels limited in his role.

Life is short. It takes five months to film this series. Do I want to sacrifice that time for something that doesn’t stimulate me? I don’t want to be part of a system that doesn’t respect the intelligence of its viewers.

Bravo is not completely negative about the series. He agrees with many viewers that it is excellent entertainment, but criticizes the simple concept of the series. He refers to Emily and Gabriel’s on-again, off-again relationship as a ’90s idea. “It’s all based on a lack of communication. That’s a bit archaic.” Finally, he wishes his character would have a little more charisma.

It was a month ago Emily in Paris renewed for a fifth season. In the final episode of season 4, we saw how Emily moved on with Marcello after her relationship with Gabriel ended again. However, Gabriel is not convinced that he is ready to let Emily go and decided to win her back.
