Recently, electric vehicle lovers were shocked by the news that the Tesla manufacturer in China will produce a new model, namely the Tesla Y Juniper. This was conveyed by a Chinese blogger on October 19.
He revealed that Tesla will start production behind closed doors at the Shanghai Gigafactory on October 22 2024, with a target of making 12 units per day.
In February, the brand from the United States (US) explained that the Y variant would not be refreshed in North America in 2024.
This was also reinforced by the owner, Elon Musk, who often denied rumors about the launch of the Tesla Model Y Juniper on social media X, which was previously called Twitter.
However, a blogger named SE Robinson Jr. shared an image of what looks like a Juniper model, camouflaged on the street in Palo Alto, California, USA.
Of course, the circulation of this news cannot be fully believed until it is officially confirmed by Tesla.
For information, the Shanghai Gigafactory is Tesla’s first overseas manufacturer which launched three million units in production earlier this month, with an average of one vehicle every 30 seconds. Meanwhile, the number of exports has reached one million vehicles.
In terms of production speed, Tesla admits that reaching one million vehicles will take 32 months. Then, from two million to three million only took 13 months.
Meanwhile, last September, the Tesla Model Y was recorded as having sold 48,202 units in the Chinese market, an increase of 16.35 percent every year and 6.34 percent every month.
Compared to August, sales increased by 2,872 units, which made it occupy the top position in the SUV market.
