In the publication on their X profile they noted that “the next Friday, October 25, 2024 Repair work will be carried out on the drinking water leak in the Macro Distribution Circuit of the Cutzamala Systemlocated in Atizapan of Zaragozaand to solve this problem requires the “total suspension of the flow received by the Bellavista tank and the Madín II Water Treatment Plant, so 11 Mexican municipalities will be affected by these works.”

The municipalities affected by the supply cut will be:
- Acolman;
- Atizapán of Zaragoza;
- Coacalco;
- Cuautitlán Izcalli;
- Ecatepec;
- Naucalpan;
- Nezahualcóyotl;
- Nicolás Romero;
- Tecámac;
- The world y
- Tultitlan.
It is estimated that The suspension of service lasted an estimated 18 hoursstarting at 00:00 this Friday, and ending during the sunset of the same day, however, the authorities urge the population “to make rational use during this period.”
