► 1,500 additional North Korean soldiers in Russia
North Korea has sent 1,500 additional troops to Russia, South Korean intelligence told parliamentarians on Wednesday (October 23), adding that a total of 10,000 should be deployed by December.
“An estimated 1,500 more troops have been deployed to Russia”bringing their total to 3,000, said lawmaker Park Sun-won, a member of the parliamentary intelligence committee, after a briefing with the National Intelligence Service (NIS). The NIS said Friday that Pyongyang was sending “troops in numbers” to support Russia in its offensive in Ukraine.
