A leak from @Leopeva64 on Twitter reveals that the “Invite” button in the tab group folder of Chrome Canary for Android has changed to “Share”.

Even though invitations cannot currently be sent, this feature promises smoother and more efficient collaboration.

You can invite your friends to join the same tab group, so everyone can see and access relevant tabs in real-time.

Indeed, at this time invitations cannot be sent, but when Chrome’s new feature is ready, you and your friends can work together in the same tab group. Any tab changes on one device will automatically be reflected on other devices.

This feature makes working with teams more efficient. Imagine, instead of sending five URLs one by one via email, you just invite your friends to the tab group you created. This tab groups feature has actually been around since February on desktop Chrome, and is now coming to Android.

Google is also integrating Google Gemini into this feature to suggest tabs that can be combined.
