“On January 31, 2024, the US Department of Defense again blacklisted the company without notification,” DJI wrote in its complaint.
The company claimed that the US Department of Defense’s reasons were insufficient to support its designation, that the agency mixed up people with common Chinese names and relied on allegedly ‘stale’ facts.
DJI is now asking the court to declare the US Department of Defense’s actions unconstitutional, describing the Pentagon’s designation and failure to remove it from the list of “Chinese military companies” as a violation of the law and its due process rights.
