The facts allegedly occurred not far from the Paul-Eluard college in the town of Évry-Courcouronnes near Paris on Friday.
A teenager, armed with a long knife and threatening another person, was disarmed by passers-by, very close to the school, according to information from the newspaper Le Parisien.
The individuals would know each other and would even be friends.
It was when an argument broke out that the young man filmed himself showing the bladed weapon in his bag and provoked him, according to the victim’s testimony given during the police investigation.
He would then have sent everything via the social network WhatsApp where all the members of his class were gathered.
It would have been early in the afternoon that the boy carried out his threats.
An investigation was opened by the police and the young man admitted the facts.
The teenager is being prosecuted for “threats with a weapon”. He is currently the subject of a “summons to appear before a juvenile judge within three months”, according to the French media.
