Heavy rain and tropical storm conditions hit parts of Belize and the Yucatan Peninsula. With this, a tropical storm warning was triggered for Belize City and Cancun, including Cozumel.
The United States Hurricane Center said Nadine began its journey about 130 kilometers west of Belize City, with winds of 20 km/h. Its maximum sustained winds were 75 kilometers per hour.
According to the forecasts, it is expected that Nadine leave rains in Belize, northern Guatemala and southern Mexico.
Semar activates rain plan
The Mexican Navy Secretariat (Semar) activated the Marine Plan in its prevention phase in the entities of Quintana Roo, Chiapas, Tabasco and Yucatán in the presence of tropical storm Nadine.which will be leaving heavy rains in the Southeast of the country during the next few hours.
