What are the restrictions to obtain it?
According to the information shared by Clara Brugada Molina, who is the Head of Government of Mexico City, and the head of SEMOVI, Héctor Ulises Nieto, The cost of this document will be a total of 1,500 pesos. It can only be processed by those drivers who have a good driving record and who meet the following requirements:
- Have a current type A license.
- Not have a sentence for crimes associated with road accidents.
- Not having been sanctioned during the “Drive without alcohol” program.
Drivers who have been sanctioned for serious violations of the Traffic Regulationslike Driving while intoxicated or being involved in accidents with fatal consequences will be excluded from the processing of this license.
The main reason for putting these restrictions is to ensure road safetysince by denying permanent driver’s licenses to drivers who have demonstrated irresponsible behavior, The aim is to reduce the accident rate.
People who have a driving license They will be able to carry out the process automatically. On the other hand, for people doing the procedure for the first time, They must take an exam digitally or in any of the SEMOVI modules.
