Microsoft: There Are 7,000 Attacks Against Passwords Every Second

In fact, ransomware attacks have nearly tripled, although only a few are successful. Every day, Microsoft scans 78 trillion signals from its cloud, devices, and partners to stop attacks on passwords, networks, and systems.

Now, the increase in attacks that use AI is also a major problem. As hackers continue to use AI, the number and type of attacks will likely change or even increase.

This Microsoft report also shows that, despite various efforts to block attacks, the tools used by hackers continue to develop faster than the defense efforts themselves.
