Based on leaks from game industry observer, Chris Ding, as quoted from Nintendo LifeFriday (6/9/2024), the arrival of the newest Nintendo Switch will be announced this month.

Even though the information is still vague, this leak is strengthened by the response of VGC journalist Andy Robinson. Through his tweet, he stated that rumors about the presence of Switch 2 had been heard in several gaming media.

However, Nintendo itself has not yet confirmed the presence of this device. The Japanese company has still not given any indication of the existence of a successor to the Switch.

Moreover, based on Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa’s statement, in the financial report at the end of last year, the new Switch will at least be announced in April 2025 at the latest.

Therefore, there is a possibility that information about the device may not be revealed in the near future. However, it is not impossible, Nintendo has plans to reveal it first, before officially releasing it later.
