The meeting between the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaumwith Mexican and American businessmen, demonstrated that among partners and friends there are ways to resolve disputes and reduce uncertainty about the investment climate.
This was stated by the president and CEO of the US Chamber of Commerce, Suzanne P. Clark. He noted that the speed with which the meeting between Sheinbaum and the businessmen was held allows “we can reduce uncertainty about the investment climate in Mexico and grow businesses across our borders.”
During the meeting with the media that Sheinbaum and the Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard, had in the framework of the CEO Dialogue Mexico-United States, The president of the US Chamber of Commerce was invited to give a few words, who added that “Mexico is the United States’ most important trading partner and an important ally. Our relationship is not based only on proximity, it is based on shared values: the value of democracy and free enterprise and the rule of law.”
He explained that this dialogue mechanism attempts to create trust between both parties and added that “good friends and good partners see the opportunity for growth in shared prosperity,” so they create more growth, trade and attract more investments.
Suzanne P. Clark highlighted that in addition to a relationship of shared prosperity, as “good partners, as we all do in our families, they also find ways to resolve disputes. We find a way to work together in the difficult times of our world.”
Businessmen from the American Union recognized that there is an “investment appetite” in their country towards Mexico.
For his part, the president of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), Francisco Cervantes, said that the meeting talked about trust, facilitation, work tables, commitment to ethics, “doing things well , and above all job creation, but also better salaries.”

On the other hand, the vice president of the Tenaris Global Council and co-president of the CEO Dialogue, Guillermo Vogel, said that at the meeting “The foundations were laid to establish a continuous dialogue and to be able to work on how we are improving competitiveness, how we are improving the economic ecosystem of both Mexico and the United States.on the basis of doing it jointly, obviously respecting 100% of sovereignties.”
