In 2022, Microsoft officially stopped developing WordPad. And, now this app is completely removed from Windows 11.
Instead, Microsoft recommends users use Microsoft Word for text documents, such as (.doc and .rtf), as well as Notepad for plain text documents (.txt).
For those who still want to use free applications, Google Docs or LibreOffice can be an alternative.
Reportedly, for Windows 11 users who still want to use the WordPad application, there is still a way to reinstall it. However, it is likely that this method will not last long, especially after getting the next update.
