Tired of the same WhatsApp display? The Chat Theme Feature is Finally Here!

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Finally! WhatsApp gives users the freedom to personalize Meta’s popular instant messaging application with a chat theme customization feature. Now, users can choose one of 22 different themes to make conversations more personal.

So far, the theme customization options on WhatsApp are quite limited, only offering Default, Light and Dark options. However, with the WhatsApp beta version 2.24.21.34 via the Google Play Beta Program, Android users will get more theme choices with up to 20 color variations.

According to a report from BABetaIndo, users can also access a new settings page for chat themes, which allows them to change chat colors and wallpapers according to their preferences.

Quoting Android PoliceMonday (14/10/2024), users can choose a default theme that will be applied to all conversations or set a different theme for each chat.

Every time a new theme is applied, WhatsApp will automatically adjust the selected chat color. For those who want more customization, the colors for certain conversations can also be changed manually.

The good news is that this customization is personal. This means that only users can see theme changes so there is no need to worry that the chat appearance will be judged by the message recipient.

Although this feature has been launched in beta, access is still limited to a small number of users. On iOS, this feature is also starting to be available via the WhatsApp 24.20.71 update, however, not all iPhone users can enjoy it.
