In Vaucluse, police cars were set on fire in Cavaillon, in retaliation for an anti-drug operation. One city is particularly plagued by traffic.

In Cavaillon (Vaucluse), an operation is underway in a city of 900 housing units. Built in the 1970s, it was gradually corrupted by drug trafficking. Since the burning of the police cars, several CRS companies have taken over the scene. A suspicious apartment was identified: windows open, completely empty. This is a false lead.

In a neighboring building, drugs are discovered, hidden in the bicycle room. In this district, in 2021, the deal brought in between 30,000 and 60,000 euros per day, or more than a million per month. The loot aroused desire. For three years, shootings between rival gangs have increased, sometimes in broad daylight. Each time, occasional police reinforcements are sent, but the traffic resumes its place. In the city, few residents dare to speak. Four police cars were set on fire in retaliation for a massive anti-drug operation.
