This economic benefit, indicated the OFVC, will significantly benefit key sectors of the entity: The distribution of the economic benefit will be concentrated in main areas such as the box office; transport; shopping and services, in addition to sectors such as hotels and restaurants.
“The Mexican National Team match not only represents a sporting milestone, but also reaffirms the role of Jalisco and Guadalajara, as hosts of great shows, attracting tourism and generating important benefits for the State’s economy,” the Government of Jalisco said in a statement.

Likewise, he assured, the capacity of the local infrastructure to attend this type of high-level events is confirmed, strengthening the profile of Jalisco as an attractive destination for sports tourism.
“The meeting between the Mexican National Team and its counterpart from the United States will be a preliminary to the 2026 World Cup.”. The choice of the Chivas stadium as the venue is part of a national strategy to take the team’s matches to different cities in the country, which seeks to strengthen and energize local economies,” the statement indicated.
Guadalajara was chosen as one of the host cities for its modern infrastructure and capacity to host major sporting events, as well as for its sporting and economic importance, he also recalled.
