Rosamund Pike and Sacha Baron Cohen have been cast in a new Netflix comedy. It concerns the film Ladies First, an adapted retelling of the French film I am not an easy man (2018). This is the second collaboration that Pike has entered into with Netflix in a short period of time.
Womanizer
It was only a short time ago that Pike signed her first deal with Netflix for the series Thumblite. It seems that the Oscar-nominated actress has a good taste for Netflix. In Ladies First she will be seen as the fiery counterpart of womanizer Cohen. Cohen finds himself in a parallel world dominated by women. The script of Ladies First was written by Katie Silberman, known for, among other things Booksmart (2019) in Don’t Worry, Darling (2022).
Careers
Cohen has previously worked with Netflix and was featured in The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020) in The Spy (2019). The Trial of the Chicago 7 even earned him an Oscar nomination for his acting. He can currently be seen in the AppleTV+ series Disclaimer (2024) by Alfonso Cuarón which is received with full praise. Although Pike has not yet been seen in a Netflix original, the actress is an indispensable part of Prime Videos The Wheel of Time (2021– )in which she plays the role of Moiraine. Pike is also known for films such as Gone Girl (2014) in Jack Reacher (2012).
