‘The Diplomat’ officially assured of a third season: filming has already started – Paudal

As subscribers gear up for the upcoming second season of The Diplomat (2023– )Netflix reveals that a third season is also in the works. There were already rumors that Kate Wyler’s story would continue beyond season 2, and now Netflix confirms that season 3 has already started filming.

Intense function

In the first season we meet Keri Russell as Kate Wyler, a decisive woman who is sent to the United Kingdom to serve as ambassador of the United States. Its job is to defuse international crises and forge strategic alliances.

In the second season, Kate’s world is torn apart after a deadly explosion in central London. Her worst fears unfold when she realizes that the attack did not come from a rival nation, but from within the British government.

Nightmare

Wyler’s story doesn’t end with the second season, however, as production on Season 3 of the critically acclaimed political drama is already underway in London and New York City. “After a great summer of filming in the UK, we brought London back to NY. The best of both worlds – filming in Brooklyn,” says creator, showrunner and executive producer Debora Cahn. “We love doing this. We’re so excited to continue.” Although details about the plot remain secret, Cahn already says that season 3 “turns the chessboard.”

Release date
