Basic performance testing
The actual measurement uses ROG MAXIMUS Z790 APEX ENCORE with Core i9-14900K processor to test the basic XMP DDR5-7200 parameters and ROG CERTIFIED DDR5-7400. For the overclocking part, the DDR5-7600~DDR5-8000 frequency test is carried out. If there is anything higher, space, we will try further.

It can be seen from the CPU-Z SPD page that the memory manufacturer is KLEVV, and the particles use A-die particles from SK Hynix, which are also the holy grail of high-end memories. When the DDR5-7200 parameters set by XMP are turned on, the read, write and copy speed reaches 114.35GB/110.44GB/108.54GB per second, and the delay reaches 59.1ns. The performance is at a certain level. If the DDR5-7400 parameters of ROG CERTIFIED are turned on, the read and write speeds are The copy speed reaches 117.14GB/113.49GB/110.12GB per second, and the latency reaches 59.0ns.
Excellent results can be easily obtained through XMP parameters, and all applications can provide high-speed performance and low-latency experience.
Next, I manually overclocked 7600MT/s (CL36 1.40V) and 7800MT/s (CL36 1.40V) and passed the test easily. Finally, I challenged 8000MT/s and 8200MT/s in the big devil stage. The timing of 8000MT/s was the same as CL36 and the voltage was maintained. It is 1.45V. The 8200MT/s timing needs to be adjusted to CL38, and the voltage is 1.47V to pass the test. The overall overclocking performance is excellent, and you don’t need to spend too much time adjusting the timing to get additional overclocking performance improvements.
After overclocking, the bandwidth performance and latency performance are quite good. When overclocked to 8200MT/s, the read, write and copy speed reaches 125.61/124.30/121.57 GB/s. The latency is an ultra-low 56.7ns. The bandwidth ratio is 11 higher than 7200MT/s. ~13GB/s increases performance by approximately 9.85~12.55%, and reduces latency by 2.4ns, or approximately 4.06%.
