Within the Paris metropolis, the number of co-ownerships registered on the energy renovation support platform has taken off in a few years to reach 20,000 in 2024, according to the Paris Climate Agency (APC), which congratulated on Monday for a strong dynamic.
The APC is the one-stop shop for the energy renovation of Parisian condominiums. It offers via its platform « CoachCopro » support from A to Z of their projects.
The 20,000 registered co-ownerships represent a quarter of the co-ownerships in Greater Paris and 40% of housing, according to Dan Lert, deputy ecologist at Paris town hall, responsible for the ecological transition.
“In 2023, there were four times more global diagnostics undertaken than the previous year, the wave is here”rejoiced Karine Bidart, general director of the APC.
“Our objective is to support this acceleration, to reassure about these projects which can be anxiety-provoking because they are expensive and take time” to succeed, added Fatoumata Koné, president of the APC.
At the national level too “many territories have embarked on energy renovation”assured Sébastien Catté-Wagner, specialized in dignified and sustainable housing within the National Housing Agency (Anah).
The objective of the City of Paris is to “renovate 100% of existing buildings by 2050”and this involves “renovate 40,000 private homes per year from 2030”recalled Dan Lert.
This “strong dynamic” is for Jacques Baudrier, communist deputy for housing in Paris, “beyond expectations” of the City.
While he welcomes the aid granted by the town hall to energy renovation projects, he deplores the difficulty “in bringing in the most energy-intensive co-ownerships, which have difficulty getting started because the renovation costs are very high”.
Observation shared by Anah: “we have real difficulties in affecting the heritage of the old center”composed mainly of “small buildings”according to Sébastien Catté-Wagner.
Jacques Baudrier calls for “uncapping aid” and worries about “sustainability of credits” dedicated, while Dan Lert asks “a clear course from the government in terms of timetable” pour “do not abandon the 100,000 households in Paris in a situation of energy poverty”.
Prime Minister Michel Barnier spoke last week of a timetable “adapted” for energy performance diagnosis. At the same time, the Minister of Housing Valérie Létard mentioned the difficulties of co-ownerships.
