Sheinbaum: They question the President if she forced Ifigenia Martínez to attend her inauguration

This Monday, October 7, the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaumconsidered that the opposition’s comments that they exposed Ifigenia Martínez to give him the presidential sash on October 1 despite his health.

Before, the President indicated that it is sad that her companion has left, whom she described as an exceptional woman, a suffragette, who fought for the vote of Mexican women and who passed away this saturday at 94 years of age.

“I don’t even know how to qualify. The truth is, I don’t have a word, but this idea is despicable that we took Iphigenia out so she could participate in the event (on October 1), her grandchildren had to come out to clarify the issue.” , commented on today’s “town morning”.

He acknowledged that Ifigenia Martínez was in poor health according to what her family told her, but that she told them that if it was not necessary for her to go, “Well, we didn’t want to expose it.”

Due to the above, Sheinbaum Pardo asked the opposition to “calm down” their spirits, and told them: “León believes that everyone is of his condition.”

“But she had a lot of desires, a lot of hope to be able to attend on October 1. So it was her decision to attend. And the truth is that, well, let them calm down, it is truly incredible. It is this conservatism that reaches the levels… now ‘the lion believes that everyone is of his condition,'” said the President.

He pointed out that, today, he will not participate in the tribute that the Chamber of Deputies will pay to Ifigenia Martínez, “always our thoughts with her and forever, because she is a woman, an example for many Mexican women, or for all Mexican women.”

“And this hatred that exists, that manifests itself on the networks, translate it into love. Leave the hatred aside.”
