The municipal president of Guadalajara, Verónica Delgadillo, yesterday began the Neighborhood co-responsibility days for the care of public spaces in the city.
The activities were carried out at the Cuauhtémoc Sports Unit, in the colonia Talpitawhere neighbors and public servants carried out cleaning and reforestation actions, as well as pruning trees, removing weeds and painting furniture.
Besides, The pool located inside the Sports Unit was cleaned, vaccination services were provided for pets, a mural was painted, workshops were held on the correct use of Clean Points and a basic training workshop for pets.
The Citizen Security Police Station was also present, they attended with the Leones Brigade, a project of the corporation for the crime prevention which aims to work with minors to foster rapprochement with the police, through recreational and sports activities, and workshops for environmental care, among others.
Neighbors of the Talpita neighborhood and surrounding areas highlighted the work done by the Guadalajara city council, and were grateful for being able to participate directly in the actions. This intervention was requested by the neighbors during the first Community Tuesday that Verónica Delgadillo held, and there, she promised to return.
President Verónica Delgadillo expressed that, with this type of actions, her administration unfolds one of the Government’s most important commitments to take care of the city through efficient public services, illuminated spaces and a nearby police force.
“We are going to take care of them through public services, with illuminated spaces when they walk through the streets, if we arrive at a park and it is in good condition, then the city council will take care of them,” he added.
“Guadalajara takes care of you with a nearby police force, we agreed that we are going to update the chat and we are going to specialize our elements,” he pointed out.
He reported that the municipality will focus on community service to punish people who are caught throwing garbage.
He called on citizens to take ownership of this public space so that it is maintained in the best conditions.
The mayor informed the residents that the dialogue tables for the rehabilitation of the Manuel Doblado market have already begun, an action that was also committed to during last Tuesday’s visit.
“I invite you to participate, what do we want to have in the market so that you can fill it with life because it is your market,” he said.
