The improvement of public services provided to the population is the main objective of the new administration of the Government of Guadalajara, stated the general secretary of the Guadalajara City Council, Manuel Romo.
In an interview, the official indicated that the axis of the Government of the municipal president, Verónica Delgadillois to take care of the services and for the city to be an example at the national level in the matter, mainly in terms of waste management, due to the problems that the municipality has faced during the last administration.
“That is where we have to put much more emphasis, from care in the management of waste and the policies that have to be oriented to produce less garbage, but also that waste management in Guadalajara is correct. Develop new dynamics based on empathy, sensitivity, responsibility,” said the secretary.
The second issue that worries the new municipal administration of Guadalajara is security, which is why Manuel Romo considered that an appropriate strategy is the implementation of the so-called proximity police officers, ensuring that they have provided results in some neighborhoods of the municipality.
“President Verónica Delgadillo is thinking about greatly promoting security through community police, giving them that permanent communication that neighborhood police had previously and taking advantage of new technologies, creating neighborhood chats. This proximity police will help us have better direct communication.”
