Around fifteen people beat up a man on the Beaugrenelle slab, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris on Friday October 4 in the early evening, the Paris prosecutor’s office told the Radio France agency. The victim, who suffered a head injury, was taken to hospital in relative emergency. It is a minor, specifies a police source. Three people were arrested.
The BAC police officers from the 15th arrondissement “spotted two individuals with suspicious behavior who joined a group of around fifteen individuals who attacked a victim“, details the prosecution. Three people were arrested shortly before 7 p.m. A katana (a long Japanese sword) and a hockey stick were found on site. An investigation is open, according to the police source.
“It’s a fight between the RD4 gang and the Balard gang”says Philippe Goujon, mayor of the 15th arrondissement. The RD4 gang had already been implicated in the violent attack on young Yuriy in 2021, for which eight young people were sentenced to sentences of up to eight years in prison by the juvenile court.
“After the Yuriy affair it was decided by the city of Paris to secure the slab and despite my repeated requests, nothing was done”regrets Philippe Goujon. The mayor wishes “more cameras, lighting, municipal and national police patrols”.
Philippe Goujon also asks the company PariSeine, which operates the Beaugrenelle slab, on the banks of the Seine, to have dog handlers patrol and remove “a number of additional issues”.
