US Supreme Court will analyze Mexico’s lawsuit against US gun stores
Yesterday, Friday, the Supreme Court of USA announced that it will proceed whether or not the 10 billion dollar lawsuit filed by Mexico against the main US arms manufacturers is blocked, indicated as causes of commercial practices that have contributed to crime in Mexico.
The Government of Mexico assures that companies that sell weapons know that they are sold to traffickers who distribute them to the national territory illegally.
He estimates that 70% of the weapons trafficked in Mexico come from the United States.
The weapons producers requested the annulment of the appeals court ruling that allowed the lawsuit to move forward, despite the legal protection that the firearms industry has.
A federal judge has since dismissed most of the lawsuit on other legal grounds, but Mexico could appeal that decision.
