It is the company most advanced in its project, among the competitors declared to the SNCF. And she has just taken another decisive step. Proxima has ordered 12 Avelia Horizon very high-speed trains from Alstom, the manufacturer announced this Thursday. “This order includes fifteen years of maintenance in a workshop designed and built by Liséa and located in Marcheprime, near Bordeaux,” adds Alstom.
An 850 million euro project
Alstom’s Avelia Horizon very high-speed trains, the latest generation of double-deck trains capable of operating at speeds above 300 km/h, are expected to operate from 2028 to serve Bordeaux, Nantes, Rennes, Angers and Paris for journeys of two hours or less. This order represents a total amount of nearly 850 million euros. “With the largest seat capacity on the market, Avelia Horizon offers a very high level of service and comfort and, as a result, significantly reduces operating costs per seat,” promises the manufacturer.
Last June, the company Proxima raised a billion euros from Antin Infrastructure Partners.
